Antaratma & Adi Shakti Kirtan band

is based in Athens Greece.

We dedicate our chanting to the Divine Mother that gave birth to all existence.

Kirtan is an amazing yogic practice. It combines mantra recitation with music and rhythm and has a very powerful effect on the emotional level. Kirtan has its roots in the Vedic tradition and is a "call and response" type of song. The term kirtan means narrate or describe and refers to the repetition of melodic mantras, accompanied by musical instruments and the response of those present.

Mantra means "That which broadens the mind and perception."

What is unique about kirtan?

The vibration of the mantras, to tune in with the melody and the rhythm, the deep breathing and of course the union of our voice with the voices of others. All of this comes together to create kirtan which leads us on a magical inner journey full of joy, clarity and mental peace.

Come in a good mood and with an open heart!
