Alexandra Sotiropoulou was born and raised in Athens Greece. She began practicing yoga in 1996 in the system of Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga with Derek Ireland and Kristina Karytinou in the Practice Place, in Southern Crete. She completed two teacher's training courses in Astanga Vinyasa yoga, with Kristina Karytinou (2003) and with David Swenson in Scotland (2005).In 1999 she was introduced to Satyananda yoga. Shecompleted the program “Yogic studies 1”(2002) and Instructor's Training Course (2007) in Satyanandashram Hellas.
At some point Alexandra was given and read Vanda Scaravelli's book, "Awakening the spine". She was positively surprised by the poetic and yet very clear way the author was explaining the method of yoga. In 2008 she invited Diane Long to come and teach in Athens. Diane was a close student of Vanda Scaravelli for 23 years and is teaching this wonderful approach of yoga all around the world.
Alexandra has been studying yoga with Diane Long ever since, and is encouraged by Diane to pass on this unique way of working with yoga. Alexandra has been teaching since 2003 and she is certified by YOGA ALLIANCE INTERNATIONAL (Master level training - 500 hours).
Antaratma Thodoris Chiotis was born and raised in Athens, Greece. In 1995 he started practicing and studying yoga in the system of Satyananda yoga with the guidance of Swami Sivamutri Saraswati.
In 2000 he completed Yogic studies 1 as well as the Instructor' s training course in the system of Satyananda yoga. He has been leading yoga classes & workshops for students and instructors of yoga since 2001.
His relationship with sound and music begun when he was only eight years old, when he begun studying classical guitar.
In 1998 he began composing and singing kirtan. Kirtan belongs to the field of nada yoga (yoga of the sound) and bhakti yoga (yoga of the heart) and is an amazing way of expression and connection with the Self. He has participated in many yoga festivals and yoga events ever since and with every opportunity he has, he enjoys sharing this trancendental experience with the people. At the moment he is the leading singer of Adi Shakti, a kirtan band which performs in events and retreats in Athens.
